It’s Been A While…

Does this mean that there’s nothing new happening in my life? Highly probably, very likely, yes. Damn I lead a dull life. It’s been very much the same routine cycling over the last month. Get up in the morning, take a shower, go to work, have lunch, work some more, head home, have dinner, watch some Japanese anime, go to bed. The only thing spectacular about it is the monotony.

I haven’t been to gym for the better part of two months as well. Getting grossly out of shape. That’s a bad thing. Also the lack of exercise has led to the return of slight insomnia. It’s difficult falling asleep at night when your body feels fresh, even though your mind is already in limbo.

I blame work for the most part. I’m in a transition period of sorts, moving departments, changing bosses, swapping titles, switching companies. I used to refer to work as the “same shit, different day”. That’s officially been changed to “different shit, different day”. On the bright side, the grass is only as green as the manure you shovel. I expect mine to be plenty green when I’m through with it. But then again, it won’t count for much if you cover the whole place with shit.

Balance. That’s what’s needed! Easier said than done.

On a different note, we (WL and I) are looking to buy a property of my own, both as an investment and possibly as a future residence. Any suggestions? Bear in mind I’m an underpaid lab monkey, so don’t go telling me about that new 3000sqft multi million dollar property off in the tropics. We’re looking for something that’s one third the size and a fraction the cost. Preferably a convenient location for getting to the office. I’m at Uptown and she’s in KL centre.

I took a look at the The Tropics Designer Suites @ Tropicana City, Petaling Jaya. The location is good but it’s pricey for the build-up space. I guess that’s the tradeoff for location. Bah…

Back to work.

my sister bought a unit at one of the apartments behind Curve. I think its quite affordable but not very close to WL’s workplace.

Or you might want to consider Taman Connought, a friend of mine bought a 2.5 storey house for RM400k?? not sure its worth the price but if u plan to stay there as your primary residence after married, its not too bad. ample of spaces should u guys decide to get a kid along the way. freehold / leasehold, no idea! close to WL’s workplace and yours, using the kerinchi link, its ok.

    so… apartment or house?

gbyeow: Went to see the apartments behind the Curve last weekend. Location is pretty good but very pricey. Not decided on which yet. I prefer a house :D
