Was down at McDonald’s just a few minutes ago for a tea break. I’m in the middle of a project and the deadline is drawing near (end of business today, if you would believe). The fast food restaurant was relatively empty, save for a guy tapping away on a notebook and a group of secondary schoolers, two guys and two girls, having a good laugh. Call me a voyeur but I was captivated by the fun they were having. Read the rest of this entry »

Does this mean that there’s nothing new happening in my life? Highly probably, very likely, yes. Damn I lead a dull life. It’s been very much the same routine cycling over the last month. Get up in the morning, take a shower, go to work, have lunch, work some more, head home, have dinner, watch some Japanese anime, go to bed. The only thing spectacular about it is the monotony. … and I feel like crap. My muscles and joints ache from running the 10km that I had foolishly signed up for in the Kuala Lumpur International Marathon 2007 Fun Run category. In my current condition, I really can’t see where the ‘fun’ was. Read the rest of this entry »

Monday was Day 1 after acquisition of the company I work for by IBM. Now we’re a wholly owned subsidiary of IBM. Transfer of employment and transfer of trade are tentatively on 1st May and 1st August 2007 respectively. Yesterday, we all got our nifty new IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T60p’s and IBM employee badges. Google just changed their search page logo. Looks as though it’s missing an ‘L’. I guess the strawberry stalk is it. The change means the day has just rolled over into Valentine’s in the US where the server’s sitting. Over here, we’ve been in Valentine’s for the last 14 hours. We’re more than half way through! Yeah, you read that right. It’s a Sunday and I’m working with five other colleagues (including my manager). It’s been a long while since I’ve had to come in to the office on a weekend or even work overtime for that matter. WL says that my work schedule is finally resembling a ‘normal’ one. Whatever normal means. Read the rest of this entry »

I don’t really have anything against animation in general. As a matter of fact, I love animation for the fact that it’s really great entertainment. However, there are some things that are just not meant to be animated. Case in point, mathematical formulas. Read the rest of this entry »

The year is winding down. Christmas is just around the corner and not long after that, it will be 2007. We won’t be in town for the New Year. Instead, we’ll be travelling eastwards to attend a close friend’s wedding dinner on New Year’s eve. And there’s another wedding dinner the day before that. Double header! I’m going to feel so bloated and wasted when the dust settles. Read the rest of this entry »

Does anybody ever actually read it? Probably not. But some genius somewhere decided it was in the best interest of the whole damn world - or at least the miniscule minority who actually read this bullshit - to put down this law somewhere in the big book of blog that the first post must be introductory in nature.
